SDG Zero was founded out of a profound understanding of the challenges facing the Sustainable Development Goals. Recognizing that the ambitious targets set by the United Nations in 2015 were not being met, the founders saw a pressing need for innovative solutions. In 2017, a small team, including members who would later establish SDG Zero, conducted a thorough review of all 17 SDGs. They identified three critical elements for success: ownership, an entrepreneurial mindset, and an engaged population. These insights highlighted the necessity for a paradigm shift in how individuals and organizations approach sustainability and leadership.
The business’s history is rooted in a commitment to creating impactful change through education and leadership development. Our founders, drawing from their extensive experience and analysis, developed programmes that address the core issues hindering the success of the SDGs. They understood that achieving these goals required more than just policy agreements; it needed a fundamental transformation in attitudes and behaviours at all levels of society. This led to the creation of our unique approach, which focuses on reality-driven leadership, building strong foundations for start-ups, and transforming educational systems to cultivate can-do attitudes in students.
We were established to implement these transformative ideas and make a tangible difference. By fostering strong personal and team leadership, encouraging entrepreneurial thinking, and increasing engagement, we aim to overcome the barriers to SDG success. Our company’s programmes are designed to deliver quick and sustainable results through action-based learning.
