Supporting Orphans, Empowering Futures
Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust (KORT) is a UK-registered charity dedicated to transforming the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children across Kashmir and Pakistan. With a mission rooted in compassion, dignity, and long-term sustainability, KORT provides far more than immediate relief, it builds pathways for education, stability, and opportunity.
At the heart of KORT’s work is the belief that every child deserves a safe environment, access to quality education, and the support needed to thrive. Through purpose-built orphan villages, educational programmes, and community support initiatives, KORT delivers structured care that empowers children to grow into confident, capable individuals.
The organisation focuses on sustainable development by combining humanitarian aid with long-term infrastructure projects. These include housing, schooling, healthcare access, and vocational training, all designed to reduce dependency and create self-sufficient communities.
KORT’s work aligns strongly with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those focused on No Poverty, Quality Education, Good Health and Well-being, and Reduced Inequalities. By addressing both immediate needs and systemic challenges, KORT plays a vital role in breaking cycles of poverty and creating lasting change.
Donors and supporters can contribute through a range of initiatives, including orphan sponsorship, Zakat, Sadaqah, and general donations. Every contribution directly supports life-changing projects on the ground, ensuring transparency and meaningful impact.
Whether you are looking to give Zakat, donate to an Islamic charity, or support sustainable humanitarian work in Pakistan and Kashmir, KORT provides a trusted and impactful way to make a difference.

1 Review on “Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust (KORT)”
Since 2017 I worked with the Hashoo Foundation on projects in the area. KORT was often mentioned as a beacon in the community!
